We had around 80 people there for the rally. Most brought their own homemade signs indicating that the ads that are run against FairTax were extremely misleading. Shortly after we formed our group, there was a Savannah State University Homecoming parade passing on the next block. Congressman Barrow happened to be in the parade. During the day many people passing by blew their horns and shouted encouragement. We even overheard several of the open air tour trolleys that turned at our corner explaining why we were there and a brief explanation of FairTax.

Randall Caruthors and Gaston Campbell were responsible for organizing the event. Sam Wright and John Steinberger helped with getting the word out encouraging supporters to attend. We did get some news coverage for our efforts.
