Georgia National Fair - Perry, GA
Oct. 6-14, 2006

Over 1500 petitions signed!!!

Oct. 9 Report

We are having a great time at the Fair. We are in the Georgia
Building and have a pretty good spot. Lot's of foot traffic. My
Thanks to Don Ruane, Darlene McDonald, Don & Lyn Williamson.
We had good coverage on Friday with Don Ruane and I, Saturday was
great coverage with Don Ruane, Don & Lyn Williamson and Darlene
McDonald. Sunday we had poor coverage with only me.
75 Petitions on Friday.
172 Petitions on Saurday.
72 Petitions on Sunday.
Obervations: When only one person is at the booth and engaged with a
prospect, you lose people that come in at mid conversation.
Folks will walk by say "I'm with you a 100%" or "I listen to Boortz
all the time." The natural follow up is "Great, have you signed the
petition?" So far 100% did not know there is a Petition.
Again Thanks to the Volunteers that have and will help out. If you
are nearby and can help us I can be reached by cell at 912-258-8566. It's up to you the Volunteer to make these fairs pay off for the FairTax.

Oct. 11 Report

The weather for this Fair has been perfect. I'm hearing from Fair
employees that they are breaking attendance records. Tuesday turned
out great when Arnie Geiger and Gene Key showed up to help man the
booth. It seemed like we were getting more folks who had never heard
of the FairTax.
So far we have produced:

Oct. 12 Report

A debate is scheduled for tonight between gubenatorial candidates
starting at 7:00 p.m. in the Reeves Arena. A second debate follows
between Jim Marshall & Mac Collins. Your Fair admission includes the
debate. Wear your FairTax T shirt.
The Fair attendance was somewhat slower yesterday. A huge
thunderstorm broke just as we closed for the night, so the weather at
least cooperated. Randall Dodd helped man the booth and did a
splendid job. Our booth neighbor Chef Leo says he has never seen a
more 'intense' group. The vast majority had never heard of the
FairTax.
So far we have produced:
75 Petitions on Friday.

Oct. 13 Report

The Debate at The Ga. National Fair was hilarious, only in America
can you have that much fun and it still be legal. Mud was slung in
all directions. The Libertarian candidate announced that he would
push for the FairTax at the State level on at least four occaisions,
with a tepid response from both the other candidates. There will be
at least two other opportuniies for FairTaxers to get out in fron of
these guys and get some publicity.
Randall Dodd and Gene Key helped with the booth tonight and did a
great job of explaing the FairTax to folks that had never heard the
two words put together. Phil Hinson our Regional Director stopped in
on his way to Jeykyl Island for the NAACP State Convention taking
place Fri and Sat. It seems we are making huge progress in getting
the word out. Three to four people working the booth is really very
effective. If You have time and opportunity help spread the word. It
is gruelling work and your smile button has to be turned on all the
time, but it is rewarding and fun when you see the light comes on and
hope returns.
So far we have produced:
75 Petitions on Friday.
172 Petitions on Saurday.
